–——–PRAYASAM-challenging the limits of reality———

In pre-independent India young boys & girls gave up their studies, their jobs, and the comfort of their homes to join in the struggle for freedom. Dreams in their eyes, they romanced with the idea of making India free from the British rule. They were ready to make supreme sacrifices for their motherland. Because, they had before them a common goal to achieve freedom.
Result: we achieved it.
In post-independent India the people have their personal goals and responsibilities. People forget the meaning of freedom. people are lots of busy in making money and criticizing others and they do not have time to think how to prevent the freedom. Yes, India is free from colonial yoke, but that only amounts to being independent. It is not free to the full extent of the meaning of the word FREEDOM. Freedom means the freedom to act even as we remain accountable for our actions. It means creating a society where everyone can live with self-respect and dignity, and can achieve their true potential. It is mental state where all citizens are equal stakeholders in determining the rules of the society. Freedom cannot exist amidst ignorance, illiteracy, and poverty, and so these must be banished. But these are not to be banished through the government operating and running businesses. These are to be banished by our own enterprise as citizens, enabled by a well-governed state. This is because people do not have any common goal.
Result: we are still a developing nation!!!!((J)
In today’s India there is a vacuum. Today there is no such leader whom the youth can consider being the hero & who can give proper direction.
The present bunches of leaders are busy in furthering their own interest. They fight elections to get elected ,so that; they can amass huge amount of money & property by taking bribes & commissions & by making fraud on the exchequer for the financial security of their seven generations to come. Some leaders deliberately mislead the youth by inculcating in them the notion of communal hatred & a false sense of religious superiority, only to enlarge the bases of their vote banks. Time has come, when the young men & women should see through their nefarious motives & refuse to be pawns in their game plan.
We, the educated class of the country have long been rightfully accused of not standing up against the blatant wrong that is quietly witnessed every day. There is enough evidence that this attitude has caused a lot of damage not only to us individually but to the society and country at large. While most of us are momentarily saddened and frustrated to see the current state of affairs, and, end up lighting candles, there are a little few of us who choose to act to bring a change. Most of us learn to live with it accepting it as destiny, while a lot of us leave the country for a more “peaceful” life in a developed economy. Instead of facing the truth, fighting against the system, trying to bring change, we run away, or, sit twiddling our thumbs – discussing governance and state of the Indian polity merely on dining tables, kitty parties, or, organizing debates in schools and colleges.
Time has come, when there is a strong need for the citizens to act together responsibly and stop the steady descent of India. We need to create a sense of pride in India and Indianism. We are responsible for what we make of this country’s present and future. We will be responsible for what we hand over to our children and the generations to come. If we want to see some progress during our lifetimes, we will need to act together. Each one of us in the PRAYASAM has vowed to act, and, act now to bring a change – a change to make India as the India of our dreams – a land which is proudly honest, immensely prosperous, and considered by the world as the land of opportunity.
The PRAYASAM – is a movement of challenging the limits of reality and shape new generation of India. It intends to bring together such like-minded liberal citizens of the country who wants to go beyond discussion and giving justification of the problem and believes in implementation of ideas. Lead India from the front – to build a platform which can collectively work towards a common simple goal – to make India a better and developed nation.
Remember, India is our home, and, it is our responsibility to set our home right. So why blame anyone, why wait for anyone!
